Sample GSM2068127 Query DataSets for GSM2068127
Status Public on May 10, 2017
Title individual 178
Sample type RNA

Source name dorsal root ganglion
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics tissue: dorsal root ganglion
Treatment protocol Samples were collected post-mortem from brain-dead subjects following asystole. They consist of snap-frozen dorsal root ganglions sourced from bilateral lumbar L4 and L5 (age range: 14-89, sex ratio: 105 F / 109 M, >90% Caucasian). Samples are courtesy of the CORE/CORID repository at the university of Pittsburgh.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Trizol extraction of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Total RNAs was quantified using NanoDrop ND-1000 spectrophotometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Lafayette, CO) and the RNAs integrity was assessed using Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 (Agilent Technologies, Santa Clara, CA, US).
Label biotin
Label protocol The sample labeling was performed based on the manufacturer’s standard protocols.

Hybridization protocol The microarray hybridization was performed based on the manufacturer’s standard protocols.
Scan protocol The arrays were scanned by the Affymetrix Scanner 3000 with 7G upgrade (Affymetrix, Santa Clara, CA)
Description exon expression data
Data processing Normalization of the microarray data was done in the R statistical software, with the help of the "oligo" R package and the "Platform Design Info for Affymetrix HTA-2_0" R package. The Robust Multi-Array Average (RMA) algorithm was chosen for normalization, with all samples considered simultaneously.
