Extraction protocol Total RNA was isolated using the PureLink RNA Mini Kit (Life Technologies) per manufacturers instructions. On-column DNAse treatment was performed during the purification to eliminate trace genomic DNA.

Label protocol Single-stranded cDNA was generated from the amplified cRNA with the WT Plus cDNA Synthesis Kit (Affymetrix) and then fragmented and labeled with the WT Terminal Labeling Kit (Affymetrix).
 
Hybridization protocol Samples were hybridized with GeneChip Human HTA Arrays (Affymetrix)
Scan protocol Array scanning was performed according to the manufacturer's instruction (Affymetrix)
Description CHP file generated for Alternative Splicing Analysis from the Expression Console software and then analyzed in the Transcriptome Analysis Console v2.0 for log2 expression values.
Data processing Raw data were processed with the Expression Console (Affymetrix) for RMA summarization and Quantile normalization.
