Biotinylated aRNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 200 ng total RNA ( GeneChip 3'IVT Express Kit User Manual, P/N702646 Rev.8, Affymetrix).

Hybridization protocol |
Following fragmentation, 12.5 ug of aRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip Mouse Genome 430 2.0 Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.

Scan protocol |
GeneChips were scanned using GeneChip Scanner 3000 7G.

Data processing |
CEL files were quantified with the Distribution Free Weighted method (DFW), using the statistical language R (R-2.7.2) and Bioconductor 2.2.
