Extraction protocol |
RNA was prepared using the TRIzol (Life technologies, Carlsbad CA ) following the manufacturer's recommendations. RNA was quantified using a NanoDrop-1000 spectrophotometer and quality was monitored with the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies, Santa Clara, CA).

200 ng of total RNA was amplified and labeled using the Agilent Low Input Quick Amp Labeling Kit according to the manufacturer's protocol.

Hybridization protocol |
1.65 µg of Cy3-labeled cRNA was fragmented and hybridized to Agilent Whole Mouse Genome Oligo Microarray (G4846A) using the Agilent Gene Expression Hybridization Kit. Hybridizations were performed for 17 hours at 65ºC at 10 rpm in a rotating hybridization oven.

Scan protocol |
Slides were scanned with SureScan Microarray Scanner (Agilent Technologies) using a scan resolution of 5µm and dye channel of Green with PMT set to 100%.
