HH18 chick (n=200) and E11.0 ICR (n=160, in duplicate) mouse hearts were dissected into AVC, OFT, and VEN and the samples were pooled. Standard phenol-chloroform extraction of RNA was performed. RNA integrity was checked with Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer RNAseq libraries were generated without normalizations or RNA/cDNA fragmentation
