Title |
Cell-free DNA methylation markers in diagnosis and prognosis of common cancers (COAD) |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Methylation profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
To identify diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, we compared methylation profiles of COAD tissues and normal blood at 485,000 CpG markers and identified a marker panel differently methylated in COAD. We developed diagnostic and prognostic prediction models with the selected panel and compared their efficacy in ctDNA to current available approaches. Our data indicate that cfDNA methylation patterns provide reliable biomarkers in the diagnosis, surveillance, and prognosis of COAD.
