Title DSS-colitis induced in young age accelerates the onset of cognitive defects in Tg2576 mice, a model of Alzheimer disease
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Other
Summary In this study we explored if colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) in young, presymptomatic/preplaque mice worse and/or anticipate age-dependent cognitive impairment in Tg2576, a widely used mouse model of Alzheimer disease.

Overall design Total DNA was extracted from the stool of the mice, amplified to collect amplicons of variable V3–V4 regions (primers 341F and 805R) of the bacterial 16s rRNA gene and sequenced with MiSeq (2x300bp) Illumina platform.
