Overall design |
Experiments were performed on 5-week-old male SWISS mice. Male littermates were randomly assigned to experimental groups. The experimental endotoxemic model was induced by intraperitoneal (IP) injection of LPS (20 mg/kg) )(Escherichia coli O55:B5, Sigma-Aldrich, L2880). All the animals were resuscitated with 30 mL/kg body weight of saline administered subcutaneously 6 h post LPS administration. Mice were intra-peritoneally injected with LCC-12 (0.3 mg/kg 6 h after LPS challenge). Mice were sacrificed 22 h post-LPS challenge.
