Title |
Chronic oral administration of nicotine affects transcriptomic profiling in conditional Presenilin 1/2 knockout mice and wild type mice |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
we found that chronic oral (3 months) administration of nicotine had different effects on transcriptomic profiling in prefrontal forebrain cortex of wildtype (WT) and Presenilin 1/2 double knockout mice.

|
Overall design |
8-month-old Presenilin 1/2 double knockout mice (DKO) and the wildtype mice (WT) were exposed to nicotine by drinking water at the dose of 100 μg/ml (DKO-N and WT-N, respectively) or water (DKO-B and WT-B, respectively) ad libitum for 3 months, after the behavior tests, the prefrontal forebrain cortex of the four groups of mice were collected for RNA-seq.
