Organism Lonchura striata
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Analysis of the effects of deafening on gene expression in birdsong neural circuitry

Overall design 18 Bengalese finch (Lonchura striata domestica) adult males were either deafened by bilateral cochlea removal (9 birds) or underwent a sham surgery (9 birds).
