Summary Schistosomes are parasitic flatworms that cause one of the most prevalent infectious diseases from which millions of people are currently suffering. Here, we construct a cell type atlas of juvenile schistosomes to capture germline stem cells (GSCs) in the course of de novo gonadal development.
Overall design We sequenced all body cells in juvenile schistosomes using Smart-seq2 protocol, resulting in a total of 10,945 single-cell transcriptomes sequenced. 7,657 of the sequenced cells passed the initial quality control and were analyzed downstream. The processed tsv files contain all cells, including cells that were filtered in the downstream analysis.
