| Title |
Gut microbiota regulates tumor via circRNA/miRNA networks IV |
| Organism |
Mus musculus |
| Experiment type |
Non-coding RNA profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
| Summary |
Increasing evidence indicates that gut microbiota plays an important role in cancer progression. We have employed RNA-seq or microarray for genome including mRNA, microRNA or circRNA profiling in an gut microbiota -dependent manner, as a discovery platform to identify target genes with the potential to involve in tumor regulation. The deep sequencing analysis reveals regulatory functions of microbiota-mediated circular RNA (circRNA)/microRNA networks that may contribute to cancer progression.

| Overall design |
Gut microbiota regulated mRNAs expression in tumor were measured in tumor samples of xenograft cancer model including germ-free mice with or without fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from specific pathogen free (SPF) mice or Probiotics (such as Bifidobacterium). Gut microbiota regulated no-coding RNAs (including circRNA and microRNA) expression in mice blood samples were measured in specific pathogen free (SPF) mice with or without broad-spectrum antibiotics (ABX) treatment, with or without fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from specific pathogen free (SPF) mice or Probiotics (such as Bifidobacterium, EcN) into germ-free mice.
