Title Resolution of genome-wide molecular signals in canine mammary tumor model
Organism Canis lupus familiaris
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Modeling molecular changes in breast cancer with naturally occurring canine mammary tumors and cross-organism analysis enables resolution of malignancy-specific processes.
Overall design 89 mammary tissue samples from 16 dogs of diverse breeds, where each dog was required to provide a minimum of one sample from each histological group: normal, pre-malignant, and malignant.  Sequencing was performed using the Illumina HiSeq2000 platform.
