Title |
Comparative transcriptomics between species to assess the immune mechanisms underlying the increased reactogenicity of the four component meningococcal capsular group B vaccine when given concomitantly with routinely-administered vaccines |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Whole blood RNA-seq and single cell RNA-seq on neutrophils was leveraged to explore gene expression changes induced in mice 24 hours after immunisation with a second dose of a licensed vaccine against capsular group B, meningococcus, the same vaccine in combination with routinely-administered vaccines, routine vaccines on their own, or a PBS control immunisation.

Overall design |
mRNA was profiled from RNA extracted from mouse neutrophils or whole blood, 6 samples per group (neutrophils pool from each sample to yield one sample per group for single cell sequencing) , using an Illumina HiSeq4000 or NovaSeq, respectively.
