Title Large B-Cell Lymphomas in Pediatric and Young Adults Display Clinically Relevant Molecular Features Distinguishable from Adult Counterparts [SNP]
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type SNP genotyping by SNP array
Summary Pediatric aggressive large B-cell lymphomas (LBCL) share morphological and phenotypic features with adult types but seem to have better prognosis. Additionally, a specific subtype carrying IRF4 translocations (LBCL-IRF4) has been recently identified in this age group.

Overall design The aim of this study was to perform a complete genetic characterization of 60 Large B-cell lymphomas (LBCL) in pediatric and young adult population including LBCL with IRF4 rearrangement (LBCL-IRF4). Twenty-one LBCL-IRF4 cases, 10 High grade B-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified, 29 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and 6 relapsed cases with consensus diagnosis were analyzed by fluorescence in situ hybridization, copy number array, gene expression and targeted sequencing analyses of genes associated with B-cell lymphoma pathology.
