Title |
Agaricus bisporus respiratory bursts |
Organism |
Agaricus bisporus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Respiratory bursts were observed in A. bisporus. CO2 production and O2 consumption increased up to 3.5 fold during these 3 h bursts while compost temperature increased up to 3 °C. We set out to find which pathways were characteristic for these bursts and the interval between these bursts.

Overall design |
Total RNA expression by Agaricus bisporus production strain A15, was analyzed during respiratory bursts, after a burst and in the interval between two bursts (i.e. ~0.5 h, 4.5 h, and 8.5 h after a burst started, respectively), by Illumina sequencing. In total 9 samples were sequenced, each sample point of a burst having each 3 replicates.
