Title Mutant p53 regulates enhancer-associated H3K4 monomethylation through interactions with the methyltransferase MLL4
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Genome binding/occupancy profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary In this study, we establish a mechanism in which mutant p53 cooperates with MLL4 to regulate aberrant enhancer activity and tumor promoting gene expression in response to chronic TNF-a signaling.

Overall design Examination of MLL4 binding in SW480 colon cancer cells as well as mutant p53 binding and H3K4me1 accumulation in control (LacZ) or p53 depleted SW480 cells following treatment with TNF-a for 16 hr.
