Title Siberian hamster hypothalamic 4K array
Technology type spotted DNA/cDNA
Distribution non-commercial
Organism Phodopus sungorus
Manufacturer Rowett Research Institute
Manufacture protocol This array has been made from a subtracted cDNA library of Siberian hamster hypothalamic tissue. Transcripts expressed in liver and kidney were subtracted from hypothalamic mRNA. A total of 5000 individual colonies were picked from the library using a robotic colony picker and these were amplified by PCR using Rsa1 and Rsa2 primers. Approximately 4000 clones containing single inserts of 250 to 1000bp sizes were identified and used for the array. Clones have been saved as glycerol stocks.
Support glass
Coating aminosilane

Description The array has been printed in 48 blocks (4 columns and 12 rows), each block contains 255 features; 17 columns with 5 rows in triplicate at 0.25mm spacing. Mixed Arabidopsis thaliana cDNAs have been printed as landmarks in the outer corners of the 4 corner blocks. Individual and mixed A. thaliana cDNAs have also been printed within the array.
