Metaseiulus occidentalis, also known as the western orchard predatory mite, is a predator of spider mite, eriophyid mite, and tarsonemid mite pests in apples, grapes, almonds, cotton, and strawberries found in the western USA. It is used commercially to control spider mites in strawberry and other agricultural crops.
