    What's a GeneRIF?
    1. This work establishes a genome-wide function for THO-Sub2 in transcription elongation and mRNP biogenesis that function to prevent the accumulation of transcription-mediated replication obstacles, including R-loops.

    2. Interaction with Hpr1 is required for Mex67 UBA domain to bind polyubiquitin, possibly by inducing an helix H4-dependent conformational change.
