  1. The authors suggest that MgtS binds to and prevents Mg(2+) leakage through PitA under Mg(2+) -limiting conditions. Consistent with a detrimental role of PitA in low Mg(2+) , they also observe MgrR sRNA repression of PitA synthesis.
    Title: The small protein MgtS and small RNA MgrR modulate the PitA phosphate symporter to boost intracellular magnesium levels.
  2. Relative gene expression experiments by quantitative real-time PCR showed that actP expression is enhanced at short times of tellurite exposure, while pitA and pitB genes are induced later.
