Summary
FtsK is required for resolution of chromosome dimers at dif by XerCD. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG13226]. FtsK is an essential cell division protein which colocalizes with FtsZ to the septal ring structure; localization is dependent on FtsZ, FtsA and ZipA, but not FtsI and FtsQ .
