Also known as
ECK0052; ksgA
Summary
RsmA(KsgA) dimethylates two adjacent 16S rRNA adenosines. rsmA(ksgA) deletion mutants grow more slowly than an isogenic wt at 20C (Connolly, 2008). [More information is available at EcoGene: EG10523]. KsgA is the methyltransferase responsible for dimethylation of 16S rRNA at the two adjacent adenosine bases A1518 and A1519 . [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG10523].
