  1. A rapid development of resistance to subinhibitory concentrations of ciprofloxacin due to nfxB mutations was observed by live confocal laser scanning microscopy imaging of the flow cell biofilms.
    Title: Real-Time Monitoring of nfxB Mutant Occurrence and Dynamics in Pseudomonas aeruginosa Biofilm Exposed to Subinhibitory Concentrations of Ciprofloxacin.
  2. These results suggest that NfxB operates as a tetramer (dimer of dimers) and that the C terminus of the protein serves as a tetramerization domain.

  3. Data suggest that many of the nfxB mutant phenotypes are not caused by the direct effects of the NfxB regulator, but instead by inappropriate mexCD-oprJ expression.
