Used to study several diseases, including hypercalcemia; hypertrophic cardiomyopathy; lactic acidosis; mitochondrial complex III deficiency; and mitochondrial myopathy. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 26. Orthologous to human TRMT5 (tRNA methyltransferase 5).
