Summary
Involved in regulation of neurotransmitter receptor localization to postsynaptic specialization membrane and retrograde transport, endosome to Golgi. Acts upstream of or within cellular response to type II interferon. Located in early endosome; late endosome; and phagocytic vesicle. Part of retromer complex. Is active in glutamatergic synapse; postsynaptic early endosome; and postsynaptic recycling endosome. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; dorsal root ganglion; male reproductive system; sensory organ; and urinary system. Orthologous to human VPS26B (VPS26 retromer complex component B). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Jul 2025]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
