What's a GeneRIF?

Here, we showed that CCDC80 inhibited ERK1/2 activation, decreased TET2 expression and TET2-mediated DNA demethylation, and then promoted DNA methylation of the LPL gene. Consequently, CCDC80 reduced LPL expression and activity, leading to increased plasma TG levels and enhanced atherosclerotic lesions area, which at least partially involved FOXO3a.
