S. typhimurium); the CobK/CbiJ perform similar reactions in both; the anaerobic pathway includes the use of a chelated cobalt ion in order for ring contraction to occur; CobK thus converts precorrin 6 into dihydro-precorrin 6 while CbiJ converts cobalt-precorrin 6 into cobalt-deihydro-precorrin 6
