Analysis of effect of simvastatin in LPS-induced inflammatory model of acute lung injury. Male C57BL/6J administered simvastatin 24 hours prior to and concomitant with LPS. Simvastatin is a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl (HMG)-CoA reductase inhibitor that mediates endothelial cell barrier protection.
