Likely pathogenic for Maple syrup urine disease — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000001.11:g.100196336_100215732del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant results in the deletion of exons 7-10 and part of exon 11 (c.772+251_1368del) of the DBT gene. While this is not anticipated to result in nonsense mediated decay, it likely alters RNA splicing and results in a disrupted protein product. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with DBT-related conditions. This variant disrupts the p.Arg301 amino acid residue in DBT.
