NM_022051.3(EGLN1):c.103C>G (p.Arg35Gly) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.R35G variant (also known as c.103C>G), located in coding exon 1 of the EGLN1 gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 103. The arginine at codon 35 is replaced by glycine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
