Uncertain significance for Hereditary cancer-predisposing syndrome — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_058216.3(RAD51C):c.70C>G (p.Arg24Gly), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.R24G variant (also known as c.70C>G), located in coding exon 1 of the RAD51C gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 70. The arginine at codon 24 is replaced by glycine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
