Submitter rationale: This sequence change replaces arginine, which is basic and polar, with cysteine, which is neutral and slightly polar, at codon 759 of the RAG1 protein (p.Arg759Cys). This variant is present in population databases (rs749027430, gnomAD 0.003%). This missense change has been observed in individual(s) with RAG1-related conditions (PMID: 20109747, 24418478, 30858051, 31520268, 32888943, 36279417; Invitae). In at least one individual the data is consistent with being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. ClinVar contains an entry for this variant (Variation ID: 859248).
