Pathogenic for ALG6-congenital disorder of glycosylation 1C — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_013339.4(ALG6):c.492dup (p.Gln165fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with ALG6-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Gln165Serfs*3) in the ALG6 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in ALG6 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 19862844).
