NM_000337.6(SGCD):c.292C>T (p.Pro98Ser) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.P98S variant (also known as c.292C>T), located in coding exon 3 of the SGCD gene, results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 292. The proline at codon 98 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
