Pathogenic for Retinoblastoma — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_000321.3(RB1):c.526_532del (p.Gln176fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in RB1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 17096365). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with RB1-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Gln176Alafs*8) in the RB1 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
