Pathogenic for BAP1-related tumor predisposition syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.12:g.(?_52399047)_(52409878_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the BAP1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in BAP1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 21874000, 23684012). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with BAP1-related conditions.
