NC_000013.11:g.(?_51934746)_(52029658_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Wilson disease by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the ATP7B gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in ATP7B are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10441329, 16283883). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with Wilson disease (PMID: 30655162). In at least one individual the data is consistent with being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
