Pathogenic for Cystic fibrosis — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000007.14:g.(?_117587720)_(117614723_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an in-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 12-21 of the CFTR gene. It preserves the integrity of the reading frame. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with CFTR-related conditions. Sub-genic deletion of 19-21 has been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 15025720, 16362824, 28603918). Therefore, deletions that fully encompass that region are also expected to be pathogenic. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
