Pathogenic for Majeed syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000018.10:g.(?_2931236)_(2951376_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 4-9 of the LPIN2 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with LPIN2-related conditions. Loss-of-function variants in LPIN2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 15994876, 23087183). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
