Pathogenic for Wilson disease — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000013.11:g.(?_51934736)_(52028610_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the ATP7B gene has been identified. The boundaries of this event are unknown as the deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. This variant has been observed in individual(s) with Wilson disease (PMID: 30655162). In at least one individual the data is consistent with the variant being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. Loss-of-function variants in ATP7B are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10441329, 16283883). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
