Pathogenic for Duchenne muscular dystrophy — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.11:g.(?_32517998)_(32651077_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an in-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 10-18 of the DMD gene. It preserves the integrity of the reading frame. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with DMD-related conditions. Experimental studies and prediction algorithms are not available for this variant, and the functional significance of the affected amino acid(s) is currently unknown. Sub-genic deletion of exon 13 has been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 18353051, 22379338, 28116794, 28610567). Therefore, deletions that fully encompass that region are also expected to be pathogenic. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
