Pathogenic for Neurofibromatosis, type 2 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000022.11:g.(?_29658157)_(29661364_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): Loss-of-function variants in NF2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9643284, 16983642). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with NF2-related conditions. This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 7-8 of the NF2 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
