Pathogenic for Glycogen storage disease, type V — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.10:g.(?_64750366)_(64750593_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is an out-of-frame deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon 17 of the PYGM gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Similar deletions affecting exon 17 have been observed in individuals affected with PYGM-related conditions (PMID: 19251976, 29382405). Loss-of-function variants in PYGM are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 8316268, 16786513). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
