NC_000006.12:g.(?_35805660)_(35819505_?)dup was classified as Uncertain significance by Laboratory for Molecular Medicine, Mass General Brigham Personalized Medicine, citing LMM Criteria: The duplication of exons 1-3 in LHFPL5 may represent a whole gene deletion. The LHFPL5 gene consists of four exons; however, as the last exon is non-coding, thi s exon is not captured by this test, and therefore it is unknown whether this ex on is contained in the duplication. Due to limitations of the testing technology exact breakpoints could not be determined. A duplication of this gene has not b een previously reported in individuals with hearing loss, but has been identifie d in 1/2504 individuals from 1000 Genomes Consortium Phase 3, reported by the Da tabase of Genomic Variants (Variant: esv3608694). In summary, the clinical signi ficance of this variant is uncertain.
