Pathogenic for Duchenne muscular dystrophy — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.11:g.(?_32310072)_(32454842_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 26-42 of the DMD gene. This variant would be expected to be in-frame, preserving the integrity of the reading frame. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with DMD-related conditions. The region of the DMD gene that includes exon(s) 26-28 has been determined to be clinically significant (PMID: 22776072, 23453023). Therefore, deletions that encompass that region are likely to be disease-causing.
