NM_001244008.2(KIF1A):c.3584+6C>T was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The c.3584+6C>T intronic variant results from a C to T substitution 6 nucleotides after coding exon 32 in the KIF1A gene. This nucleotide position is not well conserved in available vertebrate species. In silico splice site analysis predicts that this alteration will not have any significant effect on splicing. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
