Uncertain significance for Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy; Primary dilated cardiomyopathy — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000004.12:g.(?_185523352)_(185535568_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the PDLIM3 gene has been identified. The boundaries of this event are unknown as the deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. This variant has been observed in an individual who suffered sudden unexplained death (PMID: 29511324). The current clinical and genetic evidence is not sufficient to establish whether loss-of-function variants in PDLIM3 cause disease. In summary, the available evidence is currently insufficient to determine the role of this variant in disease. Therefore, it has been classified as a Variant of Uncertain Significance.
