Pathogenic for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, kyphoscoliotic type 1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000001.11:g.(?_11949763)_(11952745_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Experimental studies and prediction algorithms are not available or were not evaluated, and the functional significance of this variant is currently unknown. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (Invitae). In at least one individual the data is consistent with being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. It has also been observed to segregate with disease in related individuals. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 3-5 of the PLOD1 gene. This variant would be expected to be in-frame, preserving the integrity of the reading frame.
