It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. This variant is not present in population databases (ExAC no frequency). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with FANCA-related disease. A different variant (c.295C>T) giving rise to the same protein truncating effect observed here (p.Gln99*) has been determined to be pathogenic (PMID:Â¬â€ 15522956). This suggests that this variant is also likely to be causative of disease. Loss-of-function variants in FANCA are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 19367192).
